That would be a great twist if they could somehow combine all of Valves various characters into one unified world at the end...maybe using Portal technology?

Personally i would like to see Chell fighting alongside the TF2 crew with her Portal gun...shooting holes at the enemies feet...so they fall down and reappear somewhere bad. that could totally work. also...you could protect your control points with portals...so the enemy has to be careful where they step.

Alex with a gravity gun would also be a neat addition to the TF2 world.

Valve...get on it for TF3!!

Are you INSANE? Portal can and will (well, does right?) fit into like the Half-Life story/setting, but you want to see the TF2 characters in there too? 0_o Dude, no way would Valve do that. They're cartoon characters!!!!!!

Well you might not like my newest project then...a full out TF2/Portal/HL2 web-comic...made with GMod and Painter. I've already done test pages, with frames and comic style dialogue and everything...and it looks pretty decent. (I do have like 10-15 years experience with comic art so I know a thing of two about sequential storytelling). Anyways I'm just mapping out scenerio ideas right now and figuring out which characters ill be using from HL2...and working on dialogue. I think anybody familiar with TF2 or Portal will find it very very funny and amusing. There will be lots of real world, internet, and video game references thrown in as well. I want to complete at least 5 'issues' though first before i start releasing it...so probably 2 weeks or so till I have some complete 'issues' (probably between 3-8 pages each.) Then I'm gonna try to release one every week from then on. ^_^

Well when you put it THAT way, that sounds fantastic! I'm really excited to see what you'll come up with. That's a lot different than having that happen in the actual GAME.
Btw, now that you've got Garry's mod you'll probably figure things out a lot better than I can; I know you can download extras to the game for the addons folder, and I've followed the instructions for downloading and extracting, but I can't figure out how to access them in the game. If you have any info, it would be much appreciated. And good luck with your project!

I havent tried importing any original content yet...although i noticed when i joined multiplayer servers it automatically downloaded lots of things that i didnt have.

I was gonna ask you...maybe i just missed it...but can you make Portals in GMod? Not real portals...but just the blue/orange circle shapes? Its sort of necessary to some of my plot ideas.
